Medical-grade chemical peels for acne, pigmentation, tanning and dull skin, selected for Indian skin by AIIMS-trained dermatologist Dr. Iftekhar Khan at Truederm, C-Scheme, Jaipur.
A chemical peel is a controlled exfoliation of the skin using a medical solution. It removes dead and damaged surface cells so that fresher, more even skin can come through. Peels range from gentle "lunchtime" peels with little or no visible peeling, to stronger peels for deeper concerns. Choosing the right peel and strength matters, especially for Indian skin, which can darken if a peel is too strong or aftercare is poor.
Commonly used peels include glycolic, salicylic, lactic, mandelic and combination peels. Salicylic peels suit oily, acne-prone skin; glycolic and lactic peels help dullness and texture; mandelic and combination peels are often chosen for pigmentation in darker skin types. Dr. Khan selects the peel after examining your skin, not from a fixed menu.
Use sunscreen every day, avoid scrubs, waxing and picking at flaking skin, and use the gentle moisturiser advised. Good aftercare is what keeps results even and prevents darkening. Peels are not done on sunburnt or broken skin, or during certain medicines, which is why a dermatologist consultation comes first.

Yes, when the right peel and strength are chosen for your skin type and aftercare is followed. Peels done incorrectly can cause darkening, which is why they are planned by a dermatologist at Truederm.
Most concerns need a course of sessions, usually 2 to 4 weeks apart. The number depends on the concern and how your skin responds.
Light peels have little downtime: mild redness or flaking for a few days. Stronger peels can cause more visible peeling for up to a week.
It depends on the type of pigmentation and your skin. Mandelic, glycolic, lactic and combination peels are commonly used. Dr. Khan chooses the peel after examining your skin.
